Source Filmmaker

Source Filmmaker

How do I remove Source Filmmaker from my profile's library?
As in, when someone goes to my profile and sees what games I have, I want ti to not be shown there. Yes, I know, it's irrational and nit picky for me to not want to to be there, but I want it to be removed. I would much rather use it on an alt account. Yes, again, I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I just need some help.

When I go to Steam support, and go to the page with Source Filmmaker

I don't have an option to remove it from my library. Anyone have a solution? Should I download it then run it on my computer when I try doing this process?

Uninstall SFM from this account and then install it on your alt account.
After playing a few games on this account, SFM will eventually disappear...

The third/last/bottom option says "I want to permanently remove this game from my account" for me. Could you try clicking on the link you posted here yourself within Steam's client window, then take a screenshot of the options you have available?

Here you go, I made an unlisted YouTube video of my clicking it.

I realize you have a lot more hours than me, so maybe it has something to do with having a certain amount of playtime.

This problem is still ongoing, Source Filmmaker is a free product yet it does not have a license to be removed from the 'all games'' tab, Steam should fix this and fast please
Valve has abandoned SFM for a long time.

1. Source Filmmaker is not a game.
2. It should be found in 'Software' not 'Games'.

If SFM is showing up in your 'Games' list then something is defintely wrong, you may have to uninstall and then reinstall Steam...

They're talking about server-side Steam user profiles, not client-side Steam game libraries.

Ok, so what's the difference?
I know the diference between a server and client, I've ran my own servers for years, I just don't get the relevance as it relates to whether something shows up in a library or not... lol
I mean, do they not want their friends to know that they have and use SFM?
I just don't get the 'big deal' I guess... lol

This is pretty much a non-issue. Just keep playing whatever games you have until SFM got buried way deep.

That if you uninstall Source Filmmaker, it won't be in your Steam game library anymore, but if you have used it while online at any point before uninstalling it, it will remain in the "All Games" tab of the "Games" page of your Steam profile indefinitely.

Ok, that makes sense, but I still don't see what the 'big deal' is, I mean so what if it still shows for a little while. Like what EmperorFaiz said, this is basically a 'non-issue'... lol

ocd sorta thing? autism kid? tryna hide you doing whatever films? x). ugh. mental. just don't hide.

as posted: in terms of display on the profile. you can only 'down' it on the list, playing other games. if you want it removed on the all games list you gotta get a ticket to steam support and ask if they can remove it from your profile data. i'm sure they'd give you a weird look and move on. lol

i'm not sure about this removal support page there. i did that (steam not running ofc - don't wanna loose my configs) and it didn't remove it. or atleast not yet (?). neither has my local data been tampered with after booting steam. possible the database action has a delay? sure.
