Size of locations
I assume that when you get some quest or new important info or missions, new location appears on the overworld map. I wonder how big are these locations? Does it differ a lot? Like some can be like a smaller district of the city which can be explored a lot and some are just few alleys and building where the quest takes place?

So, in my last game (Memoirs) there's an overworld that shows a map of the city and you can travel to small sections where you can walk around a few blocks, and there will be buildings that you can enter.

I'm planning the same here, just with different graphics and perspective view. There will be a fair amount of variation between different locations. Not sure how big the levels will be, but that will probably vary from place to place a lot too.

Ok. I dont expect big locations. But it would be nice to have at least few middle-size levels as exploration is very important for many RPG players.

Depending on your definition of middle-size, it'll probably happen.
