Why can't I pick up Medkits?

For some reason, nothing happens when I either hold or tap LB while standing next to a Medkit and in hearing sensor mode. Am I missing something?

Hi, you can take a limited number of Medkits in the game, most likely you have a maximum supply

I did finally figure that out, thanks! I was thrown off because the game doesn't even tell you that you already have medkits or how to use them lol.
