If you ask me the developers did a disservice to the Gundam fans, not the other way around.
why would anyone play this when they can get so much more from other ftp games like overwatch. not 10 bucks per character.
And this is (one of) the reasons the game died.
Expecting player to figure it all out is foolish. Many entered as casuals. They do not share your dedication or patience.
At the end of the day no one owns the thoughts of the developer's brain but the developers themselves.
There's not that much talk on the forums about some of the basic issues that I think doomed it from the start, like quality, performance, network stability, graphics/correct proportions so that it actually feels like you're piloting a massive suit etc.
Getting into matches is long enough, but 3/4 of them have one player d/c in round 1 and causes entire match to disband. Or are people intentionally leaving(?)
It's a legitimate game design issue that has financial consequences, and the advice given to the new players? TO back up and walk away from the enemy... giving up the objective in the process because exactly ONE unit in the whole game commands that much power and authority.
