Game is good, but the ai are ridiculously overpowered in story mode
Im on the beerus fight in goku story, and so far i've noticed enemies throughout the game being able to spam counter after counter and evasive after evasive, even continuously blocking and perfect blocking, without ever losing any ki at all, they lose nothing and are able to spam counters over and over and vanishing repeatedly, thats really kind of dumb and unfair, im on normal difficulty and makes no sense that the ai can ignore the combat mechanics of the game while im limited, why don't they follow the rules of the game and are able to spam without losing anything?

Edit: I have no idea how this got pinned, i was merely expression my opinion on the ai in story mode, and the thread for some reason got pinned, im guessing there are no moderators or the moderators are rogue, if they can delete this post instead of locking it, that would be appreciated, as the thread has evolved way too much

Ai = CPU = Artificial Intelligence.
I've also noticed that zamasu has missing textures for his move, its just a black box, lol. But yeah the counter is absolutely stupid, i countered an ai like 6 times in a row before finally messing up, it was just back and forth constantly. Hope the day 1 patch fixes these issues

Yeah, the fights need to be checked. I'm on the goku black and zamazu fight and it's one of the hardest things i've ever done in a game.

try going and equipping some items from the shop onto your characters, thats how you had to do it in the old BT games
Glad I'm not the only one who feels the AI in this game needs to be toned down. I try to combo or fight close quarters but the AI just seems way to aggressive and dodges way too consistently. But playing like a loser in the back line and spamming just confuses it and makes some fights absolute cake walks. The issue seems to be the AI just has the timing to dodge and counter preprogrammed but it procs 100% of the time unlike how a human could play.
Ya man I totally agree the game is SOOOO goood it's just literally not fun to play. um just to be clear that is sarcasm. games should be fun

it seems like there is a difference between the "what if" difficulties and the regular story mode.

im on the namek saga now and while the main story is a breeze, the "what if" AI seems to be cheating. i'm not talking about in terms of timings or input reading but they seem to get damage increases, super armor, passive ki regeneration, increase ki charge speed, ignore skill counter requirements (i had vegeta spam that explosive wave despite being at 0 skill count), and some sort of "comeback" damage if you pwn them too hard early.

while the increased "difficulty" does force you to use different mechanics, some of the fights just devolve into spam and you end up ignoring the mechanics because getting chunked for 8k in 8 hits is wild.

would be nice if they could sure this up in a future patch so these AI focus on certain things like being a rush combo specialist, smash specialist, ki specialist, etc... instead of giving them a buff to everything and then start spamming specials with their insane ki regen if the ai is losing.
it makes doing the what if way harder i tired doing the one where you beat first form cell as Goku but cell just spams and combos is hard to even hit him half the time before he gets 17

Guys do the ♥♥♥♥♥ training tutorials please
I think there is clarification that the game (at least the story) is made to stay true like the anime/manga. So some fight will be easy and some fight will be challenging.

Thats what people said.

the training tutorials funnily enough dont cover everything. there is beam deflection which isnt in training and then there's the aura burst move that pushes the enemy away which also isnt in training lol. then there are times when you're smashing the computer from behind and then they instantly turn around and parry or something?

Only the ai can counter you when you are punching them from behind, you can't do that
