Often times, you can rest on the benches dotted around the main street to skip time by an hour. This helped me get out of a few "softlock" situations, so try pushing time by an hour or two and see if that lets you then sleep in the apartment. Worth a go!

If you can't rest and can't sleep in the game, then it sounds like you encountered a bug thats also still present in the demo and not just the full game. The dev claims this bug was fixed but I've seen people say its still present even after the dev supposedly fixed it. I can't even progress in the demo thanks to this bug which I made the dev aware and they claimed it was fixed but I tried it and nothing was fixed...

If the full game has become unplayable for you or anyone, I'd consider reaching out to Steam support and see if they'll give you a refund considering the circumstances. There are some workarounds too but no one should have to mess with game files on their device nor for the other option should they have to use a save file the dev has made available (And may not cover every instance where this dang bug can occur too I'll add) but I'm just mentioning this in case one wants to try to continue but know the bug can occur seemingly randomly at any point from what I gather... wish the dev would actually fix it...

As for the workarounds, look in the forums here and on the news page, they should be there.

The bug is still there, unfortunately. And ot's more than 2 play hours for me to make a usual refund. Hm. Anyone tried to contact a Steam support?

Maybe try verifying the game file integrity in Steam. Right-Click on the game > Properties > Local Files.
