[SOLUTION FOUND] Windows 10/11 64-bit bug

Hello everyone!

There is a known bug where LUISOAC won’t go past the first logo screen if you run it on Windows 10 64-bit.
This happened to some people, but not always.

This seems to be one of those bugs that are difficult to find and solve quickly, because we know some people that have the same OS and the game works fine.

While I continue to investigate the issue, I want to say that we plan to release LUISOAC also on mobile: if you have this bug, you will be able to play the game on your smartphone instead of the PC.

Hello everyone!

Thanks to a discussion about the game "Endoparasitic" by Narayan Walters, which was made in Godot too, we discovered a possible solution for this bug, which consists of these steps:

"Going to NVIDIA control panel>manage 3D settings>program settings> find endoparasitic program and change 'anti aliasing mode' to 'Application-controlled' worked for me"
Instead of "endoparasitic program" you should find "luisoac".
(Thanks to the user "Guts" for these steps).

After following these steps, you should be able to play "Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling" without the black overlay!

when i open the game i only manage to see a black screen (maybe im not patient enough...) i have windows 11

Sorry for what is happening, I assume that you tried the solution in this post and it didn't work, right?

Unfortunately, I am aware that there are some specific computer setups where this problem still persists.
It seems an issue related to the engine, I am still investigating it.

Hello! I was having this problem on windows 11 and the steps above weren't working because the program wasn't in my list in the control panel, if anyone else is in this boat you need to add the program manually to your list of applications. In the manage 3D settings-program settings, click add, and so long as you've booted LUIOSAC recently is should be near the top, once you add it follow the steps as normal.

Hi, I don't have the NVIDIA control panel; and when i install it, It says I dont have the NVIDIA drive or something like that, I was wondering if theres still another way to solve the 'black screen' issue? As when I open the game, in the task manager it says the godot engine is unresponsive, and then closes on me, the game seems super neat and i'd love to play it.

Maybe seems trivial question, but if it says that you don't have NVIDIA driver, do you have another graphic card? (Not NVIDIA?).

Unfortunately this solution takes into account a setup with an NVIDIA card, for the rest of setups I am still working on a solution because sometimes the black screen shows up and sometimes doesn't 🥲

I will post an update as soon as I have more info about this situation!

Wait, I try to explain better!
The solution of this discussion comes from another discussion about the "Endoparasitic" videogame, which has the same black screen problem of LUISOAC.
In this post, I mentioned the solution of the other discussion, with this game you have to search for "Looking Up I See Only A Ceiling" or "luisoac" in the NVIDIA panel!
