Is it Similar to games "SLAIN!", "Valfaris"?

Hello,
Can anyone who played the above games answer if AWAKEN - Astral Blade similar?
I love the art style of this one!
Is there block/parry/stun mechanics? Seemingly tough boss fights, but easy once you know their move pattern?

Slain was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, awaken astral blade is MUCH better overall. The combat is fun with all the combos you can do and while regular enemies are super easy the bosses are hard enough that you cannot just tank and spank them. You need to learn the attacks and this may require a few attempts although it's not insanely hard. However there's a hard mode and since bosses are relatively tough in normal i can imagine they're quite brutal on hard
