Dr Kyne's bookcase bug
I'm on my first new game plus play through and I'm trying to get all the marker fragments. I'm on chapter 10 and the only one I am missing is the one in medical in Kyne's office. It's the one in the secret room behind his bookcase. For some reason no matter how many times I try I can't get the bookcase to move with kinesis. It's just stuck in place. In my first play through it moved without any issue. Is there some trigger to unlock it that I'm not aware of? Or is this just a bug? Anyone else have this problem?

it's glitchy but it will work ..

i've found moving either further away from or to different place in the room helps
when that happens ..

but it will open ..

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and still no luck sadly. I tried from every possible spot in the room and even from the doorway. Still won't budge. Aside from a bug the only thing I can think is that I forgot to move the bookcase in chapter 2 when you are first in that area. I came back to try and move it at chapter 10.
I think I will finish this play through and Ill try to get it on Chapter 2 on my next round on hard. It's pretty disappointing though, I wanted to see the alternate ending this time around.

Apparently I just have a ♥♥♥♥ memory, because I found the 12th marker in the cargo loading bay. The spot you have to lift bridges to transfer the marker to the hanger. That means that I must have gotten the marker piece in Kyne's office behind the bookcase. Apparently the bookcase closes after you leave the area and you can't move it again.

maybe not on the same play through ..

but a different playthrough yes it moves ..

i haven't tried doing it again through same play through ..
