Does it still stutter?
I avoided this game for a long time because of the unstable frame rate and the stutters. I, however, see now that it’s rated Very Positive, unlike Jedi Survivor which is still Mixed after 15 months.

Is the performance adequate now?

Thank you.

I'm only an hour into it but it's playing smooth for me on Ultra at 1080p. I'm on a i7-10750h with RTX 3060 mobile on an SSD.

For me it did, but it's not the case for everone else necessarily. This was the first game where I got more than just traversal stutters but this is JUST MY EXPERIENCE. I can't speak for but just myself. This was on 17 13700K and 3070 Ti. But however don't let this game slip away., Even though it might or might nor stutter for you, it's a great game nevertheless.

In bios
I turn off the Intel Turbo Boost, Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 and Hyper Threading. Since I did that, the game has been running fine with no problems. You will get shuttered here and there early in the game. The shutter is gone in the middle of the game and toward the end.

Sound like you have stability or cooling issues.

OP, do not do this.

It only has slight traversal stutter. Outside of loading areas it runs smooth.

I did not notice the stutter and played more than half the game. So I watched a video of someone with the stutter... it seemed really minor for a slow-paced game like this. Then I kind-of noticed like a 1/30th of a second hiccup every now and then, which seems to be an Unreal Engine thing, not just confined to this game.
I got this game for less than 20 bucks and honestly totally worth it.

There is no cooling issue here, and I had to turn off those features for the game to run otherwise, the CPU would go straight to 90c and crash(black screen) within a few minutes. This is the only game that does this.

You say you dont have a cooling issue yet your CPU goes to 90°C than it crashes. Did I read that right? Lol

Probably because it went past 90° and that was the last reading you got before it spiked and shut down to prevent damage. Which is normal for the BIOS to do that but not normal to have that high of temp.

So yea, I'd say its a cooling issue for sure. Especially since this game is CPU heavy. It put all my cores ~55% usage at ~68°C.

What is your CPU cooler?

FYI, your SSD is a FanXiang. With that bad of typo I am assuming this is a pre-built? So yea, def check your cooling and case airflow. If not in the know, have someone else check it out for you or the place where you purchased it from.

I did not experience any stutters in any of my playthroughs.
This is not on unreal engine, it is the frostbite engine use usually by DICE for the battlefield series.

I'm on game pass and it still stutters despire running quite well, mostly when transitioning certain areas, it's not a game breaker but def noticeable
It's still a stuttery mess but not an unplayable level of stuttery.

This game stopped receiving updates shortly after launch in early 2023.
It will never be fixed.
you need a decent rig to play this- it was smooth for me.

On first playthrough, there are stutters when moving to some new areas but nothing like in Jedi Survivor, overall pretty smooth.
Yes it does still stutter. EA abandoned this and the two recent Jedi games rather quickly. All 3 have performance and stutter issues that never got fixed
