Strength: The gameplay and map design stand out.

Downside: Almost everything else feels lackluster or poorly executed.

I liked this game. It is not the all time best game I have ever played, but it is solid enough that I can recommend it, when it is on sale.

For the current asking price it is way too high. Wait for 50% sale or that it is dropped permanently to half of its full price.

Although it takes a while to get going (prologue, then a fair few hours to get past the first big boss - which is where I'd say it gets REALLY good rather than just pretty good), when the combat starts to pop off it's simply sublime. The whole experience is great too, the banter, dialogue, and Frey's attitude comes off a lot better while playing than in clips and third-hand comments. A great game that has heart, would recommend for Action RPG fans who want to feel like a magical force of nature.
