Beyond the pixel art 2.5D style, this is very much NOT a clone of Octopath Traveler. It's honestly crazy how basic similarities get people to yell "copycat!" and "clone" when they couldn't be more wrong.

Plays nothing like Octopath.

Same style of artstyle, sure, but the combat system is totally different, plus there's platform sections as well. So nothing like Octopath, when it comes to gameplay.

I agree nothing like octopath traveler, I played all the way thru Octo and have been following the development and demos of this game and I can attest to that. Not even same full art style, only similar at certain parts. Even if they were the same art style that means nothing. That would be like saying windwaker and borderlands are copy pasted because they both use cell shading.... which would be a gross and misleading simplification based on one tiny commonality.

Personally, I really, really hope they can make the conflict slightly more original. "Oh no, our almighty god is an evil ♥♥♥♥ and all the people He admonished are actually good, time to kill Him" is a classic, but it just gets stale after you've gone through it about five times...
