While I do get that, part of what I hoped for was to build my dream kingdom and test it against surrounding kingdoms, enemies (trolls, dragon, at war kingdoms, etc), and encounters. Is there, or will there not be, a way to toggle these options? That is something done in a lot of sandbox games after all.
Well, the trolls come when you place down the building for them to spawn, and the dragon is just a random encounter. You don't go to war with the other kingdoms in the game at all, in any mode.
With kingdoms, I didn't mean war, per se, rather, interactions with the other rulers: courting, their reaction, etc. Though, if I remember correctly, wasn't there some mention somewhere on store or likewise about choosing between diplomacy or warmongering?
Not that I've ever heard of. You can raise your friendship or make enemies, but there's no kind of fighting at all with other kingdoms.
