Forever Skies Early Access FAQ
Early Access FAQ:

Hi everyone, we've put together a little FAQ for you in order to assist with any questions you may have about Forever Skies. This is a live doc, so will be updated when its needed.

Q. When is Early Access release?
A. Early Access is out right now!

Q. Overall, what content can we expect at the start of Early Access and throughout?
A. The Early Access launch is primarily a gentle introduction to the story. Above all, however, it will be a sandbox mode in which you can visit locations both above and below the dust to learn about the history of the world of Forever Skies through enviro storytelling and notes encountered. In parallel, each location will offer the opportunity to unlock new modules/tools/customisation items. We anticipate that at the start, EA content will take a typical player around 15hrs to complete, but if you want to get ALL the artefacts, decorative items and database entries, this time will increase significantly. Even more so if you are a fan of building, because then it is easy to lose yourself. During Early Access we plan to add new locations, modules to the ship, add more threats, add new mechanics, add a cooperative mode and expand the story in order to finally answer the questions and doubts that may have arisen during the discovery of the story during the EA.

Q. Which platforms is Forever Skies coming to?
A. Forever Skies is being developed for PC and PS5. Currently, only Steam Early Access is available.

Q. What Engine is Forever Skies built on?
A. Unreal Engine 4

Q. Is the game coming to VR?
A. At present, we have no plans to bring Forever Skies to VR. But this is not a no.

Q. Is the game First-Person only or are we getting Third-Person?
A. We have no plans for third-person mode.

Q. Does Forever Skies have Coop?
A. Up to 4 player coop is planned to be added in Autumn/Fall 2024.

Q. Will we get more than one Airship we can control or even a fleet of flying aircraft?
A. At present, we only plan on one Airship per save. This includes co-op, where you will work on one Airship together.

Q. Will it have a Creative mode?
A. We hope to add a Creative Mode in Forever Skies, closer towards the release of the full game. For now, we just have four difficulty modes.

Q. Is it an open world?
A. The world above the dust is open. Some parts of the world through the story are fixed/tailored in the open world. Some parts of it will be procedurally generated. However, the world below the dust is static/hand-crafted.

Q. Which languages are available?
A. At present, we have text and interface localisation in English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese and Korean . But this list is open and we may add more languages based on our community.

Q. Will there be a story in the game?
A. There will be a story, yes. But the story won't be fully complete until we release the full game. Elements of the story will be continuously added throughout Early Access.

Q. Is this game going to be non-violent? No killing people, zombies, PvP etc?
A. There will be combat and hostiles that you will have to contend with, but no humans or zombies. The multiplayer aspect is co-op only, not PvP. Forever Skies will never have flying Sky Pirates attacking the player in epic 50+ airship battle royales where you need to defend your own airship from an onslaught of enemy hordes. That game sounds totally awesome, but it isn’t what Forever Skies will ever be about.

Q. Does Forever Skies have a “steampunk” aesthetic because you fly an airship?
A. Not exactly. You will play as a scientist, taking control of a futuristic airship in a post-apocalyptic world.

Q. How long do we plan to be in Early Access?
A. The current plan is to launch the full game in 2024.

- Is the airship free to rotate in three dimensions during parts of the fixed/tailored open world? What about below the dust?
- Can the airship hit / collide with ruins of our civilization? If so, does airship take damage?

Hey Grat,

Yes the airship will rotate in the fixed areas. However, the airship can't fly below the dust, the only way to get down there is to find a surface lift which you will use to take you down.

Yes, wind will play a big role in control and direction of the airship. :)

Thank you for your kind wishes! It's a bit early for us to discuss and confirm whether it will be there, but we do love the idea of including modding support for Forever Skies so its likely!

Jak można uzyskać dostęp do wczesnego dostępu do gry. Obserwują Was już od dłuższego czasu i Wasza propozycja bardzo mnie interesuje. Chciałbym choć trochę uczestniczyć w w tym co robicie. Czekam z niecierpliwością na odpowiedź i życzę aby wszystko Wam się udawało :) Pozdrawiam.
