Not sure how this is for others but personally I didn't get very excited for the game from the trailer or screenshots. Looking up a gameplay video did the trick though. Seeing some coherent/consistent gameplay rather than just split second action shots is what I'd prefer. Ironically, I find overtly action-laden or soulslike stuff super boring (the recent wave of "action roguelikes" is no different to me).
