Lost all progress

I stopped playing for a couple of weeks due to being on vacation, and when I restarted I was unable to continue my game - the option was missing, leaving me with only the New Game option. I was roughly 6 hours in. I'm using the same laptop so I'm not sure where my progress has gone......

No sound on Steam Deck

If your translation translates 'default (speed)' to failure to fulfill a contract, then just delete the translation! Otherwise you need to think twice about the translation company you contracted; they defaulted!
