I'll admit that I was wary when I first heard people recommending a $30 adult RPGmaker game. But in retrospect, I fully agree with them. This is an icon of the genre for a reason, and is 100% worth the price - indeed, I desperately want other developers to follow in this game's footsteps, and hope that its success serves as a strong incentive for them. The graphics are beautiful, the sound work is excellent, but the gameplay is what really stands in a league of its own.

The main stroke of genius in this title is the way the main character's sexuality progresses - you cannot directly control this progression (outside of a few settings at game start), and it doesn't initially impact gameplay at all. However, when a battle completes, Karryn has a chance to gain a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trait based on how the battle went. These traits make her ♥♥♥♥♥♥ urges more and more impactful, and they begin to affect her combat prowess, which in turn affects the traits she gets from future battles, spiraling in a predictable direction. The effect of this cannot be understated: instead of "trying to lose" so that they can see some smut, the player has a real incentive to try and win every fight, and even to try and remain chaste. But over time, they will have to let Karryn gradually slip down that slope of corruption... only to realize that it's what they wanted to see all along.

On a smaller scale, the gameplay does a good job of balancing its more mundane aspects: the top-level management of the prison nicely complements the combat sessions, the damping feedback loop between income and order is well-executed, the fact that resources fully regenerate after each battle but contribute to a daily "fatigue" value cuts down on walking while still making each trip into the anarchic sections daunting, attacks use your health as a resource to simplify battle while keeping it difficult, items are all persistent but compete with prison upgrades for your attention, multiple side jobs rework the combat formula briefly, enemy variety is good, dialogue is surprisingly lucid for an adult RPGmaker game... I could go on and on about the little details the support the high-level progression that makes this game so fun.

Of course, as an RPGmaker game, it definitely comes with some cruft. Player pathing is better, but still not great - though enemies have bespoke, slow pathing instead of the standard mad dash towards the player, presenting the opportunity to sneak past them if you're careful. Menu traversal can be tedious or unintuitive, but luckily, some of the interfaces have been reworked from the ground up (including combat), and these are much smoother. The most egregious remaining one is the player status page, though this is complicated by the way player info is handled in the upgrade menu - still, if it could be brought onto par with the traits screen (which is excellent), that'd be a significant improvement.

Overall, I can't recommend this game enough. The quality and replayability present here for fans of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ content in general is nearly unmatched, and you'll quickly go from worrying about the price to worrying about how many hours you're sinking into the game.

I'm just buying this and all 3 DLC to support small indie developer, this isn't my type of game, i didn't even played much.
