Spam Attacks

For a very very....very brief moment, I thought I was going to be able to play a game without that classic unblockable/must evade attacks. The beginning was edging me so dam hard to believe that whatever they can do, I can do as well... but after that second Oger.... things started getting really...really....spammy

I dont want to be locked into a combat system to were there is only one or two ways to beat them. I was told this was a very fluid combat game and nothing to compare to a Souls game..... well I do not buy that speal at all.

I was edged to believe something that it is most certainly not.

I really want to believe. but when I have 30 different colors flashing on my screen at once with a billion different arrows pointing everywhere, along with that child screaming ear raping LOOK OUT and then the enemies themselves are CONSTANTLY SPAMMING YELLOW ATTACKS.... ♥♥♥♥ got old very very... oh so very fast.

And I just came from Jedi Survivor and I never want to deal with that level of spam jank ever again... then suddenly I am faced with ice shards being thrown like a minigun at me... screw that noise man, just let me actually feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOD or something, I literally just threw a guy into a mountain 20 minutes ago and your telling me Kratos cant handle a tiny ass ice sliver?!?!??!?!

are my expectations unreasonable? I always like to believe that there is more then one way to write 2+2=4, so why should I be locked into only one solution?

I am playing on Hard if that gives anymore context.

here's how i look at life...

do you have control over the situation? if the answer is yes, do what you must to change things.

if the answer is no... why are you complaining?

if it's winter, and it gets down to -50 and the lake is completely frozen solid - what good does complaining about not being able to go swimming do? what does it get you?

you either enjoy the game, or you don't - but you can't change the game...

play it, you bought it... enjoy it. if you don't, that says more about you than it. it isn't going to change, because it cannot.

you can change, but you're choosing not to. again, that's on you.

i don't like baulder's gate 3, nor red dead 2 - can't get into either. but what i know about both is, me not being able to enjoy them is about me.... as those games are not, i repeat, not going to ever be anything but what they are...

i was like you in my 20s and 30s and hell even a bit into my 40s. but now? now i'm 47.8 years old and life has taught me something. stop complaining about ♥♥♥♥♥ you can't control.

find a way to enjoy what you spend your time and money on. find a way to understand if you don't like something. that's about you, not it.

maybe put this one down, come back to in a few years, YOU, might change and enjoy it then. there are literally 10,000 other games to play, no point in complaining about the one you ... don't like.

False difficulty.

Dont tell me I cant control ♥♥♥♥ when thats the games entire premise.

Being locked into ONE SOLUTION is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. their should be multiple ways to deal with encounters.

In what drug world can I parry a 10 ton stone slab. But I cant parry a red sword attack because they are 2 levels above me and will ONLY SPAM RED ATTACKS WHILE TRACING MOVEMENTS.

I aint gonna just bend over here, I will keep playing the game, but I sure as ♥♥♥♥ will call out this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game mechanics.

When ♥♥♥♥♥ working, its fluent, smooth, robust.

When ♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.... its horrendous, false difficulty.
