I tested this on the steam deck, my laptop and desktop. The same issue is affecting all of them with Proton 7, experimental and every version of Proton GE 7 that I had installed. The same issue is also visible for this person: https://youtu.be/mFZ-J3f8QhY?t=1506
It seems it's affecting all Linux setups.
I also opened an issue tracker with proton: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6291
The proton log is available there as well along with my specs for the laptop. The desktop is not really a gaming machine so not really that important.
I could'nt interact with the mirror. But it seems that pushing the enemy really close to the mirror helped me.
We weren't able to reproduce this, but could you please try the following speculative fix? Right click on The Chant in Steam -> Properties -> Controller -> Override for The Chant -> Disable Steam Input. I don't have an xbox 360 controller right now, but I will try it out tomorrow in the office. Please let us know if this works out for you.
Thanks
Thanks for all the info and followup. We have a steam deck at work and will get a log to see if we can address this video player issue. We don't officially support the steam deck at launch, but it seems like we're close and would love to sort these issues out, as there seems to be quite a bit of interest.
1) Stuttering , like you mentioned . Anoying little freezes
2) mouse cursor in the center of the screen in upgrade menu . i play with a xbox controller
The rest is great so far (going to the lighthouse) . Great visual quality (4k) . And also huge thanks for the russian translation
The only problem is i'm stuck on the fight with kim, no matter how many times i press the button or position her towards the mirror, nothing happens.
I have the same issue. In addition, the A and B buttons act as if I'm pressing them both at the same time whenever I hit one of them (each input attempts to confirm and cancel at the same time, it seems).
I followed the suggestions and disabled the Steam Input, but there was no change. Funny enough, I found that if I unplug the controller, then launch the game and plug it back in after the game has started up, the issues go away. It's a very awkward fix, and I've never seen this issue before.
I'm using a Logitech F310 controller, which runs like an XBox controller with internal emulation. I don't have issues with other games. Hope this helps...
Killing Wretcher is optional. There are geometric keys for the gate located around the Wretcher gloom area that unlock the cultist gate that is beyond the building at the top of the stairs. One of them is a somewhat hidden cave.
Hope this helps.
