The Quarry Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This is intended to be an evolving post to help cover topics that are frequently asked about on the forums. Before making a thread, please make sure to check this post and utilise the search function.

Q: Will my PC run the game?
The full specification requirements are listed on the Store Page, but below are some comparison links to the minimum and recommended CPUs and GPUs. You can put your computer's component in the drop down on the right-hand side and get a comparison. If you don't know what you have, check Help > System Information on your Steam client.

Q: I have a technical issue, what do I do?
If you have a problem with the game and haven't sent in a ticket to 2K Support yet, you should. It's the main way 2K gather data on an issue for the developers to research and work out if it's something they can fix.

If you don’t see an answer to your issue in the Knowledge Database or the official 2K forum or here, please feel free to submit a support request[support.2k.com]. If you're on Twitter you can request 2K Support at @2Ksupport.

I also suggest using a template like the one below when starting a thread or sending in a support ticket.

GAME AREA:

ISSUE: What the problem is

HOW TO REPRODUCE: Document the steps, in detail, it took for your issue to occur so that they can be used to replicate elsewhere.

FREQUENCY: How many times out of ten does it happen?

EXPECTATION: What you think should be happening.

VISUAL: If you have any videos/pictures of the issue or a link to a current thread on the issue, post the links here.

Q: Why can't mods be discussed?
2K volunteer moderators have to draw a hard line on them because they are not officially supported, meaning they have to assume that none of them are "okay" as they break the EULA and TOS. This includes bypassing the 2K Launcher.

But, to make it even clearer, here's the related part of the EULA:

Q: What are the different modes?
From the Knowledge Base[support.2k.com], you will find these basic game modes:

Single Player
Brave of you to go it alone! This is the straight forward way to experience the game, making choices as you go through the story.

Movie Mode
Haven't you always wanted to be the director? Choose if everyone dies, everyone lives, or with the Deluxe edition a true Gore Fest. With the Director's Cut you set all the standards for the characters, and let it roll.

Couch Co-op
This is where we get the real nostalgia going! You and your friends piled onto the couch, each in control of different characters, passing the controller back and forth as your turn comes up.

Wolf Pack
Whether you are a Lone Wolf, letting your pack vote but you make the final choices, or a Pack Wolf, where everyone's vote counts and you only break ties, this mode will let you and up to seven friends control the decisions that make the story of The Quarry.
