Game looks great in 1080p
I seriously thought it was in 4k until I went into the settings after playing a while and noticed it defaulted to 1080p. It's honestly insane how good this game looks in 1080p. I can run it in 4k no problem but I can barely tell the difference. I wonder why 1080p looks so good in this game an awful in other games.

Well, I know that when we talk about movies on a tv the human eye cannot see the additional details that 4K brings unless the screen is 65 inches or even larger.

I'm sure someone is going to disagree with me but I don't care. I did the "research" and it's a fact the smaller the size of your screen the more compressed the image is if we are talking about a 4K blu ray disc.

Yes, I know this is a game so things might be different but I suspect it's not that different from a movie.
I just don't get why people absolutely wants to run something at 4K on a phone or on a 27 inch display. You can't see the difference but you will use more energy.

I'm playing it on a 50 inch TV but I can clearly notice the difference in other games when they're at 1080p. This game just looks incredibly good at 1080p though.

LOL that is NOT true whatsoever. My PC has a 40" 4K screen, and I can EASILY tell the difference between 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p. I'm not sure where you are getting that nonsense from. I can even see the difference between 1440p and 2160p on my tablet as well. BTW, Your comment and "research" means nothing without a source linking to credible source.

FYI, the human eye has around 120M light sensitive cellss which can see around 576MP, and 4K is about 8.3MP. This lets the human eye see up to about 32K (or 30720x17280) worth of detail assuming the screen is large enough, and or close enough.

As far as seeing detail/distance, that ALL depends on someones vision. At 6-12 feet away, even on a 4K screen, you can see the difference between 1440p and 2160p, and a PC monitor is usually only 2-3 feet away. So you'd even be able to see the details of 8-32k on most PC monitors. Most TVs are usually 6 to 12 feet away, and as long as that screen is about 40" or larger, you'll be able to see differences unless you have crappy eye sight. All of this assumes someone has 20/15 to 20/20 naturally or with glasses/contacts.

"A living room television, however, is most often viewed from the couch. Most experts agree that the minimum screen size to be able to enjoy 4K without having to sit too close is 42 inches. The larger the screen, the farther away you can sit from it while still enjoying maximum image quality. This is all worth remembering as televisions with even higher pixel counts come to market."

Next time, link proof of your claims.

Well, I was about to post something useful here but then I realized that there is zero reason to talk to you as anything I say will be answered with some condescending nonsense.

Game looks fantastic in general with 8 GB VRAM. Some of the character models are rough for whatever reason. Like the complex shadows make them look very imperfect. Motion capture is top notch. Really showed off the twisty mouth expression and slight jitters of a human face that no one has in real life, but when acting, they feel the need to have needless facial ticks.

The facial motion capture looks terrible in this game. It's really noticeable when the camera zooms in really close on a character's face - like with the tarot card lady, it often does this and you can see how her eyeballs are always moving, seemingly randomly, slightly up-down-left-and-right. I'm not talking about her eyes rotating when she looks around, I mean her eyeballs constantly move around slightly in all directions in her eye sockets. It looks really weird and is NOT at all realistic. If you know someone irl whose eyeballs move around like that then I'm sorry, but they're a f'n alien shapeshifter.
