Smithworks is a solid foundation for which a full game could really be something special. It is very short and a team of friends can very easily finish it all in one sitting, but that makes it a fantastic afternoon game to one-and-done. For the low price of (free), that's fantastic. It scratches an itch for chaotic, communication-dependent multiplayer that everyone tends to feel from time to time.

There's a lot in-game that meaningfully doesn't matter. A lot of the cosmetics you'll never get enough resources to earn, or play long enough to bother with. But, that's almost a good thing? It's because there's a solid game in there that just needs more dev time to be fleshed out into a bigger release.

If the devs do ever release a fully iterated on game for a price, I'll buy it day 1. Easiest decision of my life

Just getting into the game, it seems very replayable and new things are given to you over the course of the first world, however there is a bug where any time I sprint i start slowly floating up, which makes manoeuvring quickly difficult. With a game focused on speed, this really needs fixing.
