Mafia remastered is a game that was made in the late 2010s and released in 2020. It is not the same as this game and its silly to think it is. You're literally comparing a game made from the ground up and released in 2020 with a game that got ported to modern systems but was made and released in 2001... you're literally going "WHY IS THIS GAME THAT WAS MADE 2 DECADES LATER LOOK BETTER?!?!" and its making you look like you have no idea what is even going on.
Edit: It would probably be a good idea for you to learn the english distinctions between a remake and a remaster... remasters do not do as much work, they usually just add some QoL features and some slightly shinier graphics. A remake is built from the ground up and requires alot more work.
If you confuse the two then you'll be upset like you are, but really you walked in with the wrong expectations because you misunderstood what was even going on.
