Hey there! 🎄 Great news this Christmas!

We’ve dropped a new patch for our early access build—read the detail here! 🎉

Patch Notes : 0.1.1

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where Gale's dialogue bar would disappear during the Prologue ending (Part 4, right after the Bloody Belly Boss Battle).
Added autosave points at critical moments in the Prologue to prevent loss of progression after crashes. Autosaves have been added during transitions between gameplay modes (Battle (Prologue Part 1) → Exploration (Flashback) → Battle (Prologue Part 2) → Exploration (Dream Sequence)).
Fixed a potential game freeze caused by faulty code in the Pause Menu.
Food sometimes may dropped when executing a successful Heat Meter/QTE Ultimate.
Added an autosave after the Result Screen.
Resolved issues with controller stick navigation that cause erratic behavior in some UI menus.
Fixed a bug that could freeze or crash the game when the player hold the Shield during the first Combat Tutorial.
Fixed EXP Points from stages that previously cannot be saved.
Fixed the Hour/Minute/Second format on the load screen menu that are only displaying 12.00.00 AM.

Changes

Renamed some settings information to avoid misinformation.

Balancing

Adjusted the Heat Meter's decay rate to improve gameplay flow.
Lowered Medal Score calculations and thresholds, resulting in reduced prize money. (Note: If you received a large amount of money before this update, consider it a gift! 😊)
Simplified the first Combat Tutorial for a smoother introduction.
Increased the range of dodges.

Contents

You can enable Unlimited Skill and Ultimate points on Training Area.

Other

Enabled Steam Cloud Saves for the game.
Adjusted the naming conventions for the game's save folders.

Because we are adding Steam Cloud and changing the save directory, you may lose your data. If this happens, please follow these steps:

Go to the game save folder and copy all files, including the folder. The save files are located at: \Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\extralife2\_TRIALSOFFAITH
Paste the old save data into the new location. The new save files are located at: \Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Extra Life Entertainment\StellaGale
That’s it! Now you can play the game with your previous save files.

Inicial impressions (up to bloody belly mini boss fight))

Ok so the game does have a really nice charm but the combat and movement could really use some tweaking, movement feels sluggish and sometimes unresponsive at times, dodging takes you a extremely short distance and air dodging takes you even less, the animation for the rats/mouse enemies is really sped up although they're only taking a few steps at best, the getting back up animation takes way too long to actually give back control to the player, the constant use of a flashing white screen on cutscenes is ...

First time joining Steam Next Fest & this is our result!

Hi, it's been two weeks since the Steam Next Fest 2024 event and we wanted to share what we got from the event. Let's begin! 🔥

We got the total 2014 wishlist additions in one week of the event.

It's the best wishlist addition that we have ever gotten after over 4 years of development. If you are curious, let us break it down for ya!

The good news!

From one month before the event, we announced, update our social media and also released our December build to promote #steamnextfest . So, on the first day of the event, when we're doing livestream, it got 556 wishlist and 590 wishlist on 2nd day. we also got featured!😍🤩

The Bad News!

But, from the third to the fifth day, the wishlist decreased from 186 to 124 to 120😭We got a little sad about the fact, but, fortunately, we already made a plan for the last day of the event to increase the wishlist.

Plan B

We made announcement, update our https://elentertainment.itch.io/stellagale/devlog/678926/this-week-were-joining-steam-next-fest page and uploaded our SNF build there, and it got featured for like 3 days. We got on the first row in the RPG game, new game, hack-and-slash game categories, so as you can see the spike on the graph below.

Result!

We also doing our last livestream on the day before the last day of the event. As expected, the wishlist is increasing, it got 180 and 175 on the last day. All of these additions really make us want to finish the game because there is someone out there waiting for us. But...

Twist!

As far as we know, the number of wishlist deletions is also increasing, we got 111 deletions. You can see that even the graph looks similar with addition graph. So, I think player wishlist many game on the first day remove the game if they don't like it after playing the demo.

So, that it our report for our game StellaGale: The Trial of Faith. After all it's our first Steam Next Fest event that we participated and we love the result that we got even it's still looks small number.

I love the concept, the art (the animation is SO GOOD !), the mechanics—everything. The story and the worldbuilding are something I'd really like to explore further. I can't wait to play more. That said, I have a few bug reports and suggestions for some tweaks: The menu right after starting the game is a bit slow, at least when using a controller (Xbox One). Dear dev team, Your game is very interesting ! I really loved the music, the drawings, the writing, the humor and the little animations with the audience and the photographers. Very nice ! Here are some issues I got while playing and some suggestion points. I mean no disrespect and I guess this game is already a lot of work as it is. 1) The spike pits in the ground are not very visible because of the interface. 2) There is a little time to end the animation of an attack, making it hard and a bit frustra...

My Thoughts and Feedbacks (and bugs?) About This Early Access

First thing first, im bad at english, id sorry if you dont understand cus im suck at it 1. When Stella got beaten up by Bloody Belly, She had a flashback at Lafka Tales right? we can hear how crowded and noisy that place is. now (My Thought) the problem is at scene when Gale came to help Stella, you can still hear the noisy of people at Lafka Tales...
