This has been a big problem for lots of people, yet after hours of sleuthing I found only a single actual answer. If the devs are still working on this game I would ask them to make it so that Mr. Larva remains marked even after talking to him, if his ask is still pen ding.

Many players have tried to help with vague descriptions (thanks for the attempt), but the truth is the "missing" Mr. Larva locations are specific to each player. The answer you have been looking for is below. Simply filter for Mr. Larva and recheck each location. I personally had one missing in Fall and one in Summer... places I would have sworn I had checked 1000 times.
