I spent an hour and a half trying to get this game to run and i found a solution that worked for me, hopefully you too

download and unzip this widescreen fix and just drag it to where the exe. is located,

then go to your NVIDIA control panel and click "Manage 3D settings" then under the "preferred graphics processor" change it to "High Performance NVIDIA processor"
