Have you tried running it in windowed mode?

Also... it might work to change your desktop resolution(at least only until you can fix the in-game resolution).

windowed mode? sorry useless at these kind of stuff. How do you start games on windowed mode?

i tried changing my desktop resolution but it just shrunk the screen even smaller and zoomed in even more on the game.

I've actually had the same exact problem, but with different games.; rendering them unplayable. Changing the screen rez doesn't help at all. Do you have windows 8 by any chance? If anyone has any idea let us know please.

YESSSS its windows 8. DOTA 2 has no problem playing. Dishonoured too. None of the games i played has this problem except this one. Im still dying to play this game ples someone help!

Crud. I was hoping it wasn't a windows 8 bug, but it is. It's hyper-zoomed in the upper lefthand corner isn't it? And its only certain games, and hitting the keys you would normall do to reduce a window from fullscreen to window doesn't work?

Yes that is the porblem. i dont think that it's a window 8 bug though.

I think i solved it.
Go to your library and right click upllink and select properties
Then go to the first button. the set something thingy. |
a box should come out with a text box. Put this in
-graphics_fullscreen
then start uplink. it should work.

Was having same issue, but "-graphics_fullscreen" typed into the lauch options fixed it, albiet in windowed mode.

Don't mean to resurrect the thread, but I just had this issue and the problem was some tool decided to change my DPI or "scaling" settings from 100% to 125% because they could not read text. Changing it back to 100 worked perfect

Don't mean to resurrect the thread either, but for WIndows 11 users, take the following steps:

1 - Right Click Uplink in Steam > Manage > Browse Local Files
2 - Find "Uplink.exe" > shift+right click > Properties > Compatability
3 - Click "Change high DPI settings" at the bottom > Enable "Override high DPI behaviour" and select "Application" from the drop down menu
