The game was decent but I stopped played because of the promotion of a certain group was so intense, like colorfull flags in the base and around the city which I believe has no place in such a game, this game has to do with dark city and the criminality.

Extremely mid. It's not as bad as Suicide Squad, but nowhere near the Arkham Trilogy. Just play those instead.

its a pretty fun game, played threw it 3 times, didnt finish as robin, had the most fun as batgirl. not as polished as the batman games or as fluid, its more like the marvel avengers game done well. the story is engaging, it does have its problems but if u can get it in a sale for £15 or under pick it up.

ive played this game for 3 hours and i honestly must say this is a trainwreck of a game.the story is like a really bad drama show,the combat feels robotic I personally chose red hood but they absolutely butchered his character, instead of being this badass guy with a insane backstory hes now just a brute with guns that i ♥♥♥♥ you not said,"time to bash some heads" yes he actually said that.the finishers are fine i guess but the stealth is so bad i cant even explain it. yes i knew this wasnt gonna be arkham,i didnt mind that but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the combat world and stealth is so bad that arkham asylum outweighs it astronomically and somehow looks better yes you saw right a game from 2009 looks better than this. just dont get it -ps sucks that i cant get a refund because i got the cd key

This game got a lot a hate for not being an Arkham Game. This game is 10/10 imo

I have to be honest: I did enjoy this game.
Because I played it with a friend all along, because we had absolutely no expectation about it, we knew it'd be buggy, lagging, sync would be bad, the story would be terrible and the characters would often lack charisma.
We knew it would be a bad game and we played it as such, and we enjoyed it this way.
To be fair, that's the only way to enjoy it: know it's bad, grab a friend to have a good laugh with and run for it. Have a laugh finish it, uninstall it and move along.

I wish there was a "yes, but..." option for recommending a game or not, because i have a few caveats witht he game, and i think its "mixed" rating is pretty spot on.

First, the negatives:
1. The controls are kinda awkward for me. I've been playing on keyboard and mouse. Overall the controls are useable, but having dodge on space bar, but sprint/parkour on shift confuses my brain a bit. Like, in the environment i need to use shift if i want to vault up walls or jump over railings. but in combat its space bar to dodge an attack. and that might be fine for some people, but my brain parses both as "jumping" and i frequently tap space when trying to navigate the world, and shift when trying to dodge. In the same vein i find myself gettign stuck to ledges a little too frequently, because getting off them is control, a new third button for essentially what could have been on space or shift...

now, focusing on red hood specifically, he had one other awkward thing. Ranged attacks are his primary. which are bound to Q for your attack combos. building momentum, etc. but the character movement is WASD, so that means awkwardly occupying one of your movement fingers for your primary attack. Aiming with your right mouse and firign the guns with your left mouse button only locks up your movemtn, prevents you from dodging and also doesnt give you the chains and combos like using Q does. Not so much a probelem for me as I am playing solo and never cared one way or the other about Jason Todd... but i would still have liked to play him with out being frustrated. (he is also unbearbly slow and clunky in melee combat compared to Robin or batgirl)

But thats honestly about the only negatives i have in the game. Confusing dodge and sprint and wall cling stuff, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ranged attack mechanics. Which i could probably rebind, but havent checked out of pure laziness and a stubbornness to try and learn the controls as presented.

Positives: I am a pretty good fant of batman. I know most of the villains, if not their precise origin stories, i used to read the comics, and i've played a lot of the games. So playing as other people in the batfamily and getting to see more of the world is cool. I like the mini quests...even if they are essentially XP farms, as you get to interact with more and more people aroudn the city. There are a good mix of combat and crime solving cases, and the crime solving does a good job at simulating a pop culture detective vibe with the evidence boards and other set dressings you interact with.

So would i recommend it? I would like to, but the controls are a pretty big hurdle I had to get over, and its only my interest in teh story and the characters that keeps me playing it.
