I'm wondering about that myself. When I discovered the mine I was factionless with ~75% extraction skill and after talking to the NPC there he said I'm a great miner and offered 50% with 100 gold entry fee. I reloaded because I didn't think he'd make me sign the contract without a choice and returned later when I had joined the Merchant Guild and had 100% extraction. He said the same thing that I'm a great miner and offered 50%, this time only removing the 100 gold entry fee.

you dont need it. just buy ration packs and eat them for stat boost

Yeah I know I read about that already but I still wanted to know how to get 75%..

Yeah almost the same as me just the first time I tried I was in Chapter 2 just joined the Merchants Guild 90% extraction and got 50% with no entry free. Now in Chapter 3 after promotion and with 100% extraction I still get only 50.. And I saw video yesterday where a guy with no faction with 90% extraction got 75% with 100 gold entry fee.. So yeah, would be nice to know how does it work...

You need to "suck" at mining. Be a 40% or something, otherwise he treats you as "super skilled" realising he can charge you for more, because you'll end up with profit anyways. Basically realises he can suck off you for more profit to the Araxos guild.

He states that in the first line of the test summary. In polish language it's:
"Z kilofem radzisz sobie nie najgorzej" - "You are doing quite well with the pickaxe"
(If he doesn't say that line that's where you get 75% if you are Araxos member included)

In short you need to sign the contract with like 40% extraction and only then learn all of extraction up to 100% right after via the city docks teacher or whatever.

Ahh, makes sense I guess.

I've tried few times with this "dude" and i think it goes like this:
0 - 4 gold ore | He don't give u contract
5 - 6 gold ore | 75 % contract
7+ gold ore | 50% contract
I was reloading game 20 times to check this. My character had 36 % extraction. It's a little RNG because the lowest ammount i received was 2 gold ore and the highest 7 gold ore (+ possibility to give him extra gold from inventory). Sorry for bad english.

That's hilarious that you have to suck to get the best deal :/

Has anyone an idea how to get 75% in the Golden Mine ? ? I'm in Chapter 3 now, I'm with the Merchants Guild and have a quest to go there. I heard you can get 75% contract but all I can get is 50%.

I though you Just need to negotiate your contract and you get the 3/4 deal

He just tells you you won't get a better contract, if you extracted enough. Didn't get more than 50% like this.

That's how the real world works.

2-no entry,
3-no entry,
4-no entry,
5-50%,
6-50%

apparently on some versions the script is broken and you get 50/50 each time, im using latest as of now 1.2.11

as of 1.2.11 you need to have minimum 51% of skill and have to mine 4 or less gold nuggets, i checked the scripts and it worked for me
