its good but still needs time to cook

I've played many, many hundreds of hours of open world/survival games. Tried this one with jaded and tempered expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. I haven't gotten too terribly far in, but what I've seen has impressed. The voice acting is great, combat is pretty fun, the aesthetic is very interesting, they do an appreciable job of rewarding you for exploring, and if the estimates they show you for expected time to beat the chapters, a healthy amount of content.

I Must say, you can see that the dev team have a strong passion and is pushing real hard to give us an amazing RPG product, they are very attentive to their community and this is a good merit enough among others to recommend this game to all RPG / Souls / Rouge like lovers out there...this game continues to evolve!

Awsome so far got a dark fantasy version of skyrim vibe

so far; 1 full day of play on avalon has been a ton of fun. i didnt play all the time i currently have but i'd say at least half of the time i have i've spent actively playing. the amount of exploration you can do is astounding AND you actually find random gear! i havent done much of the story, and honestly the first part of the prologue is brutally sluggish. i'd say once you get past that and get a few levels, it gets easier and quite interesting. i'll keep updating.

Beautiful game.

The potential here is MASSIVE. Combat is fun and rewarding Story (so far) is compelling. There are a few things I hope will get tweaked like the new gameplay loop at night. I'm hoping to see more interesting enemies around at night and a greater yield of webs (currency to identify items at your campfire) maybe some bosses that only appear at night that drop large quantities of webs or a vendor for webs. Otherwise, can't wait for more from this dev team!

Best Elder Scrolls game I've played in a while

Games still in early access so it does have some shortcomings, but with their recent success and the size that they are showing off for their 1.0 release, I 100% recommend at least playing the demo before buying the full game long story short its a scrolls-like game with souls-like elements to it. Voice acting is amazing, and exploration feels natural. if you enjoy the demo absolutely buy the game before they loot to release they're next few updates as the full project will be released at double the price when finished

Poor performance. The demo ran smoothly without any issues, but the moment I entered the open world, the frametimes became inconsistent, with noticeable stutters when transitioning between areas.

To put it bluntly this is one of the best RPGs I have played since skyrim, It's got it's own unique lore that is based on Arthurian legends or the story of king Arthur. I will admit some of the difficulty even playing on easy is off the charts where you are being 1 shot by certain enemies and also in return are barely doing damage to them. I was having this experience at level 2 and I haven't progressed out of the first main area in the game much. I feel like this game may not be perfect but it has so much potential. My rig is 6 going on 7 years old since I built it and at this point the game is definitely playable but if you want a more seemless experience I do believe a higher end rig is required. But as far as I know the devs plan on improving the overall performance of the game. Bare in mind, I have not gotten to far into the game at this point but in my opinion this is one of the best games on the market. If you do not like the elder scrolls games you probably won't like this either but you still might like it. The last thing I am going to say is do I recommend this game yes definitely and the discount in the winter sale makes it even more worth it, tons of fully voice acted npcs with dialogue to interact with, but limited options in many cases in terms of not having to say everything that is available to you, but all things considered don't miss this opportunity it is definitely a good game, one of the best in fact. You won't be dissatisfied, is it a perfect game no and if you want a game that is perfect for you, then make your own game, but being that the devs seem to care definitely give this a try.
