Does the game have reset function?

Excuse me, is there a way to clear or reset all the game progress? I didn't find the location of the game archive.

This is something that is very low priority for us to add as you can reset individual levels by playing in hardcore mode or you can reset your entire saves by accessing your local game files in the following file paths:

PC - C:\Users\* \AppData\LocalLow\ToastieLabs (Replace the asterisks with your PC Username)

MAC - ~/Library/Application Support/ToastieLabs/

First off ... thanks for an awesome game. i'm already hooked.
Secondly ... I have the dlc on my wishlist. That I will purchase as soon as there is a reset button. So how is that for bribery

Seriously, since I understand the game better I would really like to start over.

It's one of the things that works well for me with hexcells is that it makes it clear that you made a mistake, and if you want a sense of perfection, you need to reset.
If you don't care about the perfection part, you can just carry on regardless.
Personally, even if it's a misclick on the last tile, I need to reset.

That'll do, thanks.

EDIT: Rightclick Hexceed in Library -> Properties -> UNCHECK Keep saves in SteamCloud
before deleting the local save-files

Thanks for the instructions on resetting via file deletion. I would still appreciate the ability to reset progress within the game as deleting files also resets the game configuration. I reset fairly often as I don't like the rotation(?) mechanic introduced in Animo.

I can delete all of the files in that directory, which works, but it's kind of annoying to lose all of my settings as well. Is there a subset of the files that would be sufficient to delete in order to reset progress but not reset the settings to defaults?

In the hexceed save files, all of the files named "w-"number"" are your world level saves, the main.save file is your main menu and settings.
