What's the difference between the previous one and this one?

This version is for Chinese and Korean players. The KAI name suggests DLC will be included, like the PS4 release, rather than sold separately.

The English version is already on Steam and has been for years... this is just a Chinese port. Nothing new.

To be fair the slight difference is that this port is based on the PS4 version while the English one is based on the PS3 version, slight graphical differences plus all DLC included, but nothing bigger than that.

Ah ok thanks man for the info. I have that but haven't played it, thought they were releasing another one and making it for Japanese players and Chinese only

I was wondering why they just don't release the Chinese language version as a patch for the regular Cold Steel II, but the more I thought about it, it is for a Chinese market, and they'd probably have to censor content and avoid any weird issues to avoid offending the sensibilities of a Chinese audience. This game does involve an uprising, civil war, breaking people out of prison through violent means, which might not be looked on particularly well, there.

Exactly.

Honestly it isn't as simple to just patch a translation into a previous existing game when you are dealing with multiple publishers also it makes sense for them to port the PS4 version instead of the PS3 versions that were ported to PC in English since it includes all the DLC, slight touch ups and probably differences in stability.

A disclaimer to direct customers to the versions best suited for them would help.
