Suggestions
First, want to say that I loved the demo! I found the writing funny and interesting, the sound design and soundtrack were great and the art direction is very charming in my opinion.

I have some suggestions:
- Add a button to turn auto read on or off in the UI: Having to go to the menu each time is not ideal. This button should also reflect the state of the auto read.
- Add feedback of who is talking: I found it difficult at the start of the game to know if it was the protagonist talking or his partner. A little visual feedback would help tremendously and make the game more dynamic. I think a little zoom in when a character starts talking could help but it's just an idea. I'm seeing that the release date is close so I'm not sure if something like this is feasible to implement.
- I don't know what was the reason but certain voice lines of the protagonist sounded compressed and low quality compared to other voice lines, specially compared to non-protagonists
- Adjustable auto read speed: I found the auto read speed for most lines but there were certain ones that I think were a little too fast. A setting to adjust this speed would be very helpful

Thanks for checking out the demo and for the detailed feedback! It's awesome to hear that you liked the writing, sound and art. We put a lot of time into getting them in sync with one another!

Since release is only in a few days, we won't be able to make any major changes before then for the sake of stability, but we will definitely consider tuning those auto-forward and UI issues in an update down the road! So feedback like this is much appreciated - please let us know if you find any other sticking points.

Yep! The price will be $14.99. As far as I'm aware, Steam only shows prices for select titles before launch, usually of the AAA variety, but we decided on our price last year.

The game really needs the delete saved game button.

I second this suggestion.

Hovering over a save file and pressing 'delete' is std for Ren'Py game saves. Not sure why dev would omit that feature.

As a workaround for auto-forward, open notepad and paste the code below. Name it like "auto.fwd.rpy" and place file in 'game' folder. Will work for any Ren'Py game. I chose 'Alt+UP' as default key combo but can be edited for user preference.

## Sets Auto forward toggle to Alt+UP arrow init python: config.keymap['toggle_afm'].append("alt_K_UP") ## The default auto-forward delay. Larger numbers lead to longer wait time. ## Valid range is 0 to 30. ## This value will only take effect on initial run of game. ## In-game setting will override this value. init python: preferences.afm_time = 10

Thanks for your interest in the game, JaryCihns! We actually added Auto-Forward to the quick menu and Auto-Forward speed to the options menu 10 days after release in our October 24th patch, so there's no need for a workaround - it's already in the game! You can find the details here:

We actually have a custom UI rather than the Ren'Py default to better fit the look and feel of our game. While you can't delete saves, you can overwrite them, so you will always be able to save your game in any slot you choose.

Hope that helps!

Ahh, I got it on itch.io so must be original build. I still prefer a keyboard shortcut, and as stated, the script will work on any Ren'Py game.

No worries! The updated version is also on itch.io, so I'd get the latest version from there, as it includes bug fixes as well. Thanks for supporting us, and enjoy the game if you're still playing!

If Madame Scorpion survives the betrayal, why not show in the epilogue, how her life turned out? It would be especially cool if she and the heroes were forced to team up in order to somehow resist Lord Stan.
