Are all the tokens of the game findable even after completing a level?
What I mean by this question is this:
Let's say I reach the end of a level before I found all the tokens in the level. Is it always possible, in each level of the normal game (and DLCs) to find and pick up the tokens I missed by clicking on the "Stay" button and keep looking?

Or can it happen that some tokens will require to be picked up before certain actions are performed and thus will only be pickable when restarting the level from scratch?

For example, when a puzzle mechanic disappears from a level (up on the ceiling or down through the floor, for instance), could it happen that a token were actually to be found and grabbed before the puzzle mechanic disappeared and, once it has disappeared, the only way to pick up that token is to restart the level?

Victorian 4 - Lost Spirits: The token that falls down when you swing the chandelier now always falls to the same location - on the floor, closer to the balcony door, which prevents the token to get lost in the End Portal when you finish the level.

Victorian 5 - The Underground Lab: The token has been moved on the inside of the Exit Door, behind bottom keyhole - so you can collect it easily once you open the Exit Door.

Extra 5 - Leonardo's Workshop: The middle part with Architectual Buildings now comes back out after you pick up the Exit Key, so you are able to find that token without restarting the level to get to that part.

If you run into any other token problems (missable, unpickable tokens ...), please let us know and we'll fix it. We want you to be able to pick up tokens without needing to restart the level to get to a certain part of the gameplay.

After you open the exit door, you can stay and search for the tokens that you didn't pick up yet.
But, like you said, if there are tokens that require to be picked up before a certain condition is met (missable tokens), then you can only pick them up after restarting the level. There are only few instances of such tokens though.
At the moment, I can think of one token that was changed by the developers to still be accessible after solving the level. I can't be sure that this goes for all other missable tokens in the game.

Thank you very much, Lily, for your reply. :-) I think I wouldn't mind knowing in advance which levels contain missable tokens (i.e. that can't be picked up after some irreversible actions in order to escape the room are performed).

I don't mind looking patiently for hidden stuff but only if I know it is still possible to find it. Knowing that I might be taking all this time looking for something in vain kills all the fun, I'd say.

So, if a developer reads this, could you provide a list of the levels which contain missable tokens? I hope it's not too much to ask...

you should be able to pick up all tokens at the end of the level when you click "Stay". I went through the list of all tokens for currently available offical levels (28 Original, 15 DLC) and couldn't identify any tokens that would be missable. If someone runs into a situation where they are not able to pick up a token at the end, please let us know and we'll try to fix it.

Hey, I came across two tokens that I couldn't get after finishing a level, both in Edgewood Mansion:

Lost Spirits - The token in the chandelier. I dropped it from the chandelier after raising the table and completing the level, and it just disappeared instead of landing on the table.

The Underground Lab - The token on the bottom right hinge of the exit door. Once the door opened, I could no longer pick it up.

I re-checked those specific tokens and even though it is possible to collect them, improvements could definitely be made, as it can be quite a challenge. I'll put it on the To Do list. Thank you for reporting it.

Lost Spirits: The token sometimes falls on the table and sometimes on the floor. In case when it falls on the floor it can disappear in the "watery portal" at the end of the level. If you enter the level once again, from the Continue tab and swing the chandelier again, the token will likely fall to a different location than before and you will be able to pick it up.

The Underground Lab: This token can be picked up from a certain angle, but it is not easilly visible anymore, so this could definitely be improved.

I think there is one that becomes hidden away unless the level is restarted (I missed it myself).
Extra - Leonardo's Workshop: The token hidden inside the architectural model will sink back into the table after you arrange the correct buildings and architect name plates. The exit key comes back up in the model's place.

I recall when Wild West first came out, two of the levels had such tokens that were missable which was new to me - but I posted about it here and they were fixed.
