I'm attempting to create a shared private session with like minded pve players and non-griefers. It's possible to share a password and play without a public session. There are guides on the startup.metadata out there. If you're interested let me know and I'll gladly add you to the steam group.

I'm interested, however my concern is this; does this count as breaking the ToS? Could we potentially get banned in future for this?

I too am interested and curious if it breaks ToS.. But still... I wanna join. lol

The other way to play privately, if you're worried about using a 3rd party tool, (but you can only play by yourself), is to Make an OUTBOUND rule in the Windows Firewall that blocks UDP ports 6672, 61455, 61457, 61456, 61458, and save the rule, make sure to name it something like !!!RDO Solo Lobby

The !!! makes it show up at the TOP of the rules list.

Leave the rule turned off, start the game, load RDO load into your Camp, HIT L to see the list of players, and alt-tab and turn on the Firewall Rule (Or have the firewall on your second monitor.)

Then once you turn on the rule, in a few seconds all the other player names will turn white, and then disappear. leaving you ALONE in the RDO world.

THen, enjoy all of the Legendary Animals that show up, along with Blood Money Missions, and those Random Encounters.

AFAIK nobody has been banned for using either method.
I don't think they consider it cheating because you're still playing normally, just not getting harrassed by other players.

There was one person that claimed they got banned for using RDO Lobby, but I have a feeling they used the Lobby to make a Private Session and Used Gold Cheats, because they probably figured that Rockstar couldn't see what they were doing in a Private Lobby.

There already is discord community called Silver Town.

i have my own private lobby but i wanted to confirm it works and you don't get banned for private servers, rockstar gave up on this game a long time ago.
