No word can express my feeling.

I started developing this game as a solo developer around the middle of 2019 as a hobby while having a full time job. I started working on small gameplay snippets and uploading it to different subreddits. One day, a game investor contacted me for a demo. I didn't have any demo at the time so I had to create something like a 7 min long demo super fast, which eventually turned into a green light for funding. It was not an easy decision for me to leave a full time job but I had to do it.
In 2021, I was fortunate to get an opportunity to work with Sony PlayStation and make Eternights a console exclusive title.
In Feb 2022, there was an internal demo with 90% of the game being at a pre-alpha quality build. Half of the testers had wet eyes, and one person even cried (She accidentally was recording her voice entire time during the record of gameplay 🙂 This version didn't even have any Voice Acting yet). At that moment, I knew I was closer to achieving what I wanted but I needed more time. So, I asked Sony if we could delay the release date to 2023.
In June 2022, I was blown away that my title was announced next to FF16, the series I grew up with. To be really honest it was a bittersweet moment. I was happy because I was able to make a project that could be featured in State of Play but sad that there was only so much a solo full-time developer could do.
September 2023, I'm sharing release debut title, Eternights.
Developing Eternights has been a great journey and I have learned a lot. A LOT.

• In the Graphics option, turn on "Video Playtype MP4" for people who had issue with cutscene on June 15.
  For others, turn on "Video Playtype WEBM".

Save and Load UI is not visually distinct to each other to help people who accidentally loaded old progress.


Platinum achievement to be checked on every achievement unlock moment instead of trigging at the end of the game once.

ETERNIGHTS IS OUT TODAY!

On June 2020, three years ago, I quit my job to start this project.
I couldn't imagine what developing a game as a solo full time would become. I had to wear all sorts of hats for the last 3 years. I now know how important each and every person/department in the industry is 😂.
In 2022, I was blown away that my title was announced next to FF16, the series I grew up with. To be really honest it was a bittersweet moment. I was happy because I was able to make a project that could be featured in State of Play but sad that there was only so much a solo full-time developer could do.
Now, in 2023, I am still (even now) learning how much work goes into each game development hat.
But starting this August, the people who have helped me make Eternights are joining as full-time employees for the 2nd game. I am happy to say that Studio Sai is no longer a one man studio.

Eternights is now going to be released EARLY! On the 12th of September. We simply couldn’t wait and wanted you guys to get your hands on the game as soon as possible!
