So I've been playing this game for months now (and no, still haven't completed it) and has always started up perfectly fine.

However today, totally out of the blue, I've been presented with the Black Screen of Death every time I start the game.

I've left it trying to load for upwards of 10 minutes, but it just hangs there doing nothing, except entering the Not Responding state multiple times.

I've read that it's a save file/save game issue, where the game cannot locate said file(s) and that make sure your User Folder uses only English text. Well, mine does... it's simply "Forza" and every subsequent words is English, so the only "fix" I've found doesn't apply to me.

I have removed the save files and folder for my user folder, as well as the other save location in the Public Folder and still nothing.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game fresh a good 5 times, also deleting all folder and registry entries relating to the game. I also have Hyperdimension Neptunia U installed, and THAT game boots up every time.

Thus far, I've found nothing else relating to this issue anywhere. To the best of my knowledge, absolutely nothing has changed on my PC between the last time I played it and today. Game is up-to-date, Windows is up-to-date, all drivers are up-to-date.

I'm pretty sure I'm going slightly mad, I've been trying to fix this for pretty much most of the day. Which I DID fix it, somehow... played it once, saved. Went to play it again 2 hours later... Black Screen of Death.

Anyone at all have any clue, the SLIGHTEST clue as to this problem??
