Is it worth to push through merciless to farm Bond XP?

Hi guys - I am super close to finishing the achievements. I need to max out my bonds (which is like level 66 right now) and fuse Lucifer. Earlier, I tried Merciless on NG+, and big surprise it's very difficult. Is it worth pushing through so I can find a dire shadow to farm, or should I just farm Metatron on NG instead?

update....: I got to the dire shadow in shibuaya, and even though im level 90 and got multiple 99 all stat personas, including lucifer, it just feels too diffcult to make it a consistent farm. I guess I'm going to do 8-10 hours of farming Metaton unless I can find a better strat for the dire.
