Long load times
I've installed this game on my NVMe and I'm getting loading screen times up to 30 seconds for basic stuff like room transitions. This seems insane for a PC game in 2021. Especially considering the original P5 on the PS4 had some pretty quick loading. Is this common experience for everyone, or is there something going on with my install?

I would say your install.

Longest load times I've had are around 5-6 seconds when transitioning to/from the Metaverse.

How much free space is open on your drive? I've read that when nvme drives are low on space they become less efficient.

Mine takes quite a while too for being on an nvme especially on startup room transitions aren't as bad as 30 seconds but before title screen takes between 30 seconds and a minute.

Over 500 GB :/

I'm running off of an NVMe as well and thankfully, I've had no issues. Have you tried reinstalling the game and making sure your drivers are up to date? I've seen several other posts mentioning long load times so you're not the only one. Hopefully a fix will be out soon.

Installed on SSD and I have long loading every time I reboot PC or switch Steam accounts.

Short times are only when I quit and launch it again in the same OS session.

Never had this problem in denuvoless version. Long times were only on very first launch and that's it.
