I am super impressed by this game but let me start by saying this: I bought Indika expecting a surrealistic horror game with jump-scares, something involving demons because I saw nuns in the poster. I know the game description said that it is a journey of self-discovery but I was not expecting the message behind the game to be so deep. It is a unique perspective on social beliefs of God and the Devil, Good and Evil or Right and Wrong. The game puts you in the shoes of the protagonist who is quirky but strong-willed, unsure of the path she wants to follow. The game's story takes many turns but once you realize what the devs are trying to tell, it all becomes clear. There are multiple instances in the game where the player is put in the shoes of Indika and tasked with actions that make you question performing them.
Spoiler: Even the skill tree is shown philosophically in the end by giving unlimited upgrades and forcing you to give it up by choice.

Gameplay of the game is mostly third-person puzzle adventure which sometimes transitions into fun arcade games during the flashback scenes. The puzzles were all really well done; nothing hard, but they were really creative and satisfying to solve. Overall, it took me 6hrs to complete the game including the cutscenes. With its stunning visuals and deep conversations, it often felt like I was watching a movie rather than playing a horror game. The sound design and eerie music were as good as the visuals and well-justified for a horror game.

It is a deep philosophical satire on many human aspects including the mentality of gamers while playing video games. I hope more games are this creative and intellectual in nature, a welcome change from the large-scale AAA experiences. I really admire the thought put into the game and highly recommend everyone to try this gem.

Thought it was a horror game, turns out it's full of fun puzzles and a story about self-consciousness & self-acceptances. Religions are bullsh!t. Don't let it control you and your life. Believe in yourself and your decisions and make the most out of them. 666/10 game
