Yep, I saw that on YouTube. Definitely interesting, but the game would not have caught my interest at all if it was in color, it looks good but I think it loses the feel entirely. The shading and lighting are a bit janky, which could probably be fixed but there's something to be said about a game being created from the ground up in order to evoke the style and feel of the classic b&w samurai movies.

It kinda reminds me of watching the early versions of Alien Isolation with 3rd person perspective. It works but loses all of the tension and immersion of the final game.

You are welcome. I actually found the B&W to be interesting and it caught my attention due to that. That aside, I enjoyed the game a lot myself.

it's AI. Someone mentioned there is an option to change the config file and change it to colors. I haven't tried it though.

Let's use the dev's colors rather than some retina crushing bs flicker AI sin.

I mean, technically yes, it added colors. Realistically it looks like rubbing your eyes too hard after looking at the sun. I don't think I could handle playing it this way. Properly colored, sure, but this is like the colorist had a stroke

I do not own game yet, but think something in between would be best, a sepia tone rather than cold BnW, or more washed out colours.

Perhaps the colour mod at Nexus with a custom Reshade setting to suit personal taste would work?

EDIT: bought the game, just use the nexus mod, stop whinging about no colour...

That would be a great option, that way everyone would be happy. Personally I think it looks amazing in B/W but I wouldn't mind a colorized version for a second playthrough, it would even make it more replayable.
