okay, wow. i'll start off by saying this was a 10/10 (for me, that's important) spoilers below!!



loved the psychological horror aspect of this entire game when viewing it from a broader perspective. some criticism: wished we saw more of daichi's route and the body horror, gruesome implications it could have had. would've also made for some more interesting endings. i also didn't fully appreciate how much of seiji's events were pushed (if i remember correctly, through choices only like one or two were avoidable) but it makes sense for a BL visual novel that primarily sells to an audience who enjoys games like dmmd, slow damage, etc.

on a better note, really well written! the two main protags, daichi and seiji serve as really well-executed foils to each other. one character focuses on the physical, visual aspect of trauma and one character focuses on the mental, unseen (and eventually, sexual) aspect of trauma. it's interesting to see how choices affect the characters, dialogue, and how the endings all branch off in different ways of healing from said trauma. the overall theme of this story is what happens when people are pushed to their limits and forced to undergo trauma (or forced through traumatic events), and the endings serve as showcasing different ways of dealing with it (dramatic choices, continued abuse, accepting, fleeing, etc).

overall, easily recommend to others. a little bit of advice, try not to enter this game with the hypersexual, yaoi-obsessed brain (not that it's entirely a bad thing, you'll just miss a lot of the games subtle and clear imagery and dilute your experience). favorite ending had to have been the suffocation/murder one, especially because it was foreshadowed in the beginning and how seiji was drawn + the dialogue was beautifully placed.
