Something very strange happened.
Hello everyone. In Steam, the last week has been a parade of amazing things. For example, for some reason, the price of our game decreased 4 times, and this lasted the whole week. It's good that it's already over, and everything is fixed. If someone is afraid that something will happen to his copy of the game, bought on the cheap - do not be afraid, we are not going to do anything about it. It would be unfair. We can only rejoice at your luck. ; )

The new “human” Chinese translation is here!
Hello everyone! As promised, we are releasing a revised version of the Chinese language. This is a "beta" version of the translation, in the next few days we will be fixing the roughness.

In addition, we have corrected some typos in Russian.

Hello everyone! A whole month has passed since our last post. During this time, a rather big event took place, which we want to inform you about.

Game development has stopped. Finally and irrevocably. And there is nothing we can do about it. Cyberpunk has taken over our minds, and we are forced to follow the orders of our cybernetic master. All hail to the Cyberpunk!

But seriously, we have some good news.

First, the Chinese translation will be ready this week. We are grateful to everyone who contacted us and offered their help. It was very sweet. Thank you folks!

Also in the patch we will remove some typos in English and Russian. Many thanks to everyone who sent us the typos they found! All typos must die!

Secondly, we found out why the game lags on devices whose system requirements are lower than stated. We'll try to fix it, but don't expect quick fixes. We're not that good programmers. :(

We also know about the problem of incorrect appearance of achievements. For now, this bug will remain in the game. We can easily fix this bug, but then there will be lags with every achievement, so, at this point, the choice is clear for us.
But this does not mean that we have given up with that bug!

A little about our future plans, except for bug fixes and a new translation:

We have already figured out and decided what we want to do in the sequel. For now, we are working on the skeleton of the main script. There will definitely be more choice, several routes and endings in the next game. We cannot yet say the exact amount, we ourselves do not know.

After we end up with the script, we’re planning to make a small free DLC for this game, which will tell the story from Yukari's point of view, to link the first game and the sequel.

We are also working on changing the animations. The characters should become even more alive and realistic. We'll definitely post animation examples when they're ready.

《天风之光》和《Touhou Gensokyo Visitor》的立绘都是由我负责绘制的。
但是这两款游戏的制作组却不同。
我确实参与了《天风之光》的制作，但是制作组在中途把我给踢了出去（因为他们不喜欢我画的画），在我离开了之后，这个制作组发生了什么、游戏变成了什么样，我根本无从知晓。
我甚至不知道他们把我画的角色立绘直接用在了游戏里。
我希望大家不要把这两款游戏联系在一起。
《Touhou Gensokyo Visitor》是由一个3人团队开发制作的，在开发过程中也得到了其他几个人的帮助。
我们团队中没有程序员，所以我们在安装Steam成就的时候遇到了困难，迟迟无法继续。
而就在这个时候我想起了Kirill Korzhnew，他是我认识的人中唯一一个程序员。我是在参与《天风之光》制作时认识他的。
顺便一说，他也是跟我在同一时间被《天风之光》制作组踢出去的成员。

我们希望各位玩家可以用开放的心态来为我们的游戏评分，我们会尽力让您满意。

New Chinese, Japanise and Czech localization coming soon!
Hello! Since the start of sales, we have received a large number of letters and messages from Chinese players. We understand all the problems with Chinese localization.

You have good news for you - work on a new Chinese localization is underway! We have to say a big thank you to Kakihara MasO for this!

Also, Japanese localization will be fixed thanks to qa11540. And we will add Polish and Czech localization thanks to AilanthusAlitissima.

We will definitely fix any localization issues so you can enjoy our game. But please be patient - this is not a quick process.

Hello! We've fixed some issues:

Windows 7:
Now the game does not crash when trying to play a video.

English localization:
Fixed minor bugs in the text. We read the text more carefully and hope you enjoy the result.

Russian localization:
Fixed typos.
Cirno, Sakuya and Tenshi now have the correct names for the second half of the game.

Chinese localization:
Minor edits. We understand all the problems with the current localization, and we have good news for you!

Fixed game bugs:
Reimu no longer bounces back and front in some scenes.
The broom is removed from the scene inside the Mansion.
We made a smoother transition between the foothills and the scene on the mountain.
Videos load faster now.
Fixed the inscription on the start screen and on the backgrounds of the temple.

Hello, folks. We are happy to inform you that the five month development hell is over and the Touhou Gensokyo Visitor is releasing on 10/30/2020.

While we were developing the game, on some sites and in the comments we read quite funny opinions of people who unnecessarily embellish our game. And although we are flattered by this opinion, we must admit that we are not gods. We do not want to disappoint you and believe that the truth is better than false marketing, so we want to tell you a little about our game.

No, this is not a date sim. Initially, we planned to make a date sim, but something went wrong. We wanted to make a game where you can meet different characters, go on dates and get involved in Gensokyo's life. This was in the beginning.

Then we wanted animated characters. Then we had a not very beautiful Reimu, and she needed to be redrawn. Then we realized that 5 roots is not enough, and increased their number to 16. Then we wanted colorful battles, but we don't have much experience working in Python, so we changed the engine, and then again ...

Finally, we’ve decided that a small but well-built game was better than 10 years waiting. In short, our perfectionism has collided with reality. And the reality won.

Touhou Gensokyo Visitor is a kinetic visual novel that tells a short, complete story. The protagonist enters Gensokyo and experiences various adventures there. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you the details to keep you interested in playing.

Today or tomorrow we will post a Demo, so that you can form your opinion.

We hope you enjoy the result of our work. We are ready to accept any criticism from you that will help us improve this and all future games. We are also ready to answer your questions in the comments to this post.

P.S. No, we didn't stop the development of the date sim, we just postponed it a bit. :)
