VR support?
Just looking at the video game footage, this looks like a game made for VR. Is official VR support planned?

I saw a post on discord about using UEVR with this game, but unfortunately, the arm model / weapons are too big for the UEVR mod and are causing problems. Would be great to have this game officially VR supported.

VR makes up 1% of steam user usage. Short of massive devs wanting to waste money because they don't care about losing it, VR just isn't viable or sensible for any regular dev. Tbh the tech failed. While we're at it can we release a nintendo wii version.

Nah, the tech hasn't failed. It's just a bit early for it and it takes a pc game enthusiast, almost, to be able to play with good performance/resolution/bandwidth etc. The fact that many people are asking for vr on many gaming posts is proof enough that it's still alive and kicking for now. Comparing vr to nintendo wii is just silly and pointless.

The tech hasn't failed. Anyone who has launched themselves off an aircraft carrier in an F-14/F-18 on DCS in VR can attest to that. Perhaps we can say that adoption has failed but maybe that is because at the moment getting into VR can be expensive and complex. Having said that, even the meta quest 3 can be linked to your gaming rig in order to PC-VR bringing the price down a little although it does rely on a good GPU in that case. I think if the technology continues to develop then gradually the price will come down and adoption will go up in response. It is the future I think, when hand tracking is sorted properly so you can manipulate in game stuff without the need for controllers things should get really spicy.

A new UEVR profile dropped a few days ago, you might want to check it out.

Well. Vlad himself already had experience with VR (He thought that VR is crap gimmick and soon it will die back then) and i think it's not out of the question.
Just let him iron out some stuff with the game itself first.

Smart man, no wonder he created a brilliant game.

Nah, VR is really great, it just needs smart implementation. Porting flatscreen games to VR is the gimmick. You need to think of VR games from the ground up for them to be good. Half Life Alyx is proof of that.

Except that Half Life 2 VR is amazing. And I played all the 3 Serious Sams and it was a blast. So false assumption. There's always exceptions when it is done right. Anyway I wish I could play Vladik Brutal in VR

What I said doesn't mean slapping VR on an already good game can't be amazing. VR is amazing. HL2 is amazing. What I'm specifically replying to is the topic of porting VR games to the flatscreen.

But you were saying the contrary. Read again.
It's true VR games transported to flat is not a good idea. Not even the slightest.
By the way about the video. The one who the OP said that Vlad doesn't like it or whatever. In the video after that, Vlad is playing VR again and he put a comment saying that he struggles to do Vladik Brutal in VR. So he will probably do it after the game is out or probably not. I read it with the translate feature of YouTube.
Anyway VR is so amazing that after hours of playing Vladik Brutal I was like damn, I wann experience that in VR. Must be amazing. And I ended here. I will try with UEVR

No, I wasn't. Write less, learn to read.
