Flathead Launches May 30th

We’re excited to be launching a new game on Thursday (May 30th). The first in a series meant to bring back the spirit of the Dread X Collections comes Flathead. If you loved the collections, FLATHEAD is very likely what you’ve been waiting for, head on over and check it out:

In the vein of the collection games, FLATHEAD is a compact, re-playable horror experience. Play a game of skill and luck for the highest of stakes… your very existence.

From Tim Oxton//Oxblud, the creator of Silkbulb Test comes FLATHEAD, the first title of the XP Ultra program. XP Ultra is our way of continuing to create smaller, weirder experiences like those enjoyed by so many as part of the Collections in a sustainable way both for developers and crew. Does this mean there’s never going to be another Dread X Collection? No, we wanted to be able to bring you smaller games more often than we would if they were only part of a collection. The future is unknowable.

River Fields Mortuary is now open for Business!

Step into the shoes of Rebecca, an apprentice at the River Fields Mortuary. You've spent months learning the ropes of the embalming process and how to treat the bodies of the dearly departed. During your time in the office, you've heard rumors and murmurs of possessions and hauntings taking place behind the brick walls of the mortuary. But, with such a stigma around death and what happens when we die, it’s no surprise people make up stories around the dead.

That is, until, you receive a phone call to come into work one stormy night...

There are multiple endings and plenty of secrets to uncover in The Mortuary Assistant, so keep on embalming after your first go around!

Perform embalmings, handle the various jobs around the mortuary, and exorcise demonic forces. All in a day’s work.

What's the Dread X Collection, you ask?

The Dread X Collection is a series of horror games that house smaller, focused titles from different independent developers. It's a collaborative effort between indie creators and DreadXP to deliver a unique experience in the horror space, complete with a gripping, narrative that persists between collections! Each one focuses on a specific theme ( shooters, cute & spooky, etc.), giving the player something entirely fresh with each entry! More info about the Fifth Collection coming Monday!
