i would love an anwser for this too. I bit off more than i could chew on hard difficulty. It started off easy enough so i thought hard was the difficulty for me. Turns out the difficulty ramps up STEEPLY in this game, and now i die between checkpoints more often than not. :')

There is no current form of changing difficulties midgame. You have to start a new save.

You can use Cheat engine program, it can slow game for example to 50% of the speed and then bosses are much easier.
I would rage quit this game without that program...for me this game is too hard too.

PS: use its features only on single player games!
