Great game, especially with friends!

Ship of fools is an excellent rougelite/like game that is most enjoyable and recommended but only if you have a significant other to play with in local coop. I can't imagine playing this alone and please don't even think about buying it if that is your idea - though worth mentioning, you can always livestream it via Steam to a friend to play together.

You'll sail through 3 different "biomes" (background colors really) with increasingly difficult enemies, and you'll have to chart your course according to your needs and opportunities: which ship build is possible in the current run, etc.

Once you defeat the Eye of the Storm, the game is essentially won - once. Being a rougelite, you can start over of course, and increase the difficulty with many modifiers, and as you repeatedly defeat the final enemy with ever greater difficulty mods, you'll progress the story forward. It gets REALLY tough after a certain point of diff.mods, so hold onto your pants Fools!
