Been wanting to try this series out for a long time and finally bought all the steam releases! Should I play this first or the "Original" steam release? (If I really like the series I plan to play both anyways but for my first run I wanted to play either one of these then the sequels first.) why everytime in chapter 1 i get wrong endings? someone can help me?

And is there any reason at all to get the other version in addition to this one?

I was midway through chapter 5. I saved it all the way and today it's just a clean slate. It shows that I have to start from chapter 1. All my progress is gone and I don't know why. what should I do?
