The new addition of Among Us, apart from being boring and lacking in spirit, doesn't align with the game's original essence.
I'm anxious about the game's future, fearing it may evolve into another gacha game where players are eager to spend coins/money on exclusive limited skins or unique powers through claw machines...
Your right we do need more maps as we've only gotten 3 since launch, I think it's just a case of them being incredibly slow with updates and trying to salvage players by offering more variety.
In any case I quite enjoy the new mode and I would much rather play as a cute animal than a "crewmate" or any other thing those other games have.
