1. Have you modded the game, and if so, how? (Thru the game's own modding setup, or through a different system or mod manager)? If you turn off or disable the mod(s), does the problem go away?

2. Modded or not, have you verified the integrity of your game files through Steam?

3. Have you updated your video card's drivers lately?

I have tried disabling mods, it does nothing. Modded or Modless, no skybox. Yes, I have verified the integrity. Yes, drivers are fully updated. Any other ideas?

Corrupted save file possibly? Try starting a new game too see if all is well there, if it is try using an old save from the savegameBackup folder.

I'm in the same boat. One day it worked fine and the next I had a black sky. Tried all the usual tricks: update drivers, verify integrity, turn off mods, uninstall/reinstall, and even tried starting a new game.

Edit: Lowered graphics settings from Very High (Custom) to High and I got my sky back. Still gotta figure out what it doesn't like in Very High that's causing that. Pretty sure I didn't change anything between sessions to cause it.

Don't know if deleting the shader_cache would affect this....

try deleting the shader folder

I set mine to very high NO custom and its all good.
